1940S VINTAGE SHIRTWAIST DRESS

Vintage shirtwaist style day dress from the 1940s in a slate blue chambray fabric.
Bodice has short, cuffed sleeves and pointed collar.
Horizontal pintuck pleating decorate the yoke area with two vertical tabs originating from shoulder seam.
Dress closes in front with goldtone metal buttons that have white enameled leaf designs.
Full, flared skirt.
Original matching belt.
Shown with our tiered soft nylon petticoat beneath. Sold separately.

Bust 38” (should be worn a bit loosely) Fits a 36” bust best.
Waist 28”
Shoulder to waist 16”
Waist to hem 29”
Some of the enamel has worn off one of the buttons. Collar has a faint line of discoloration at fold that did not come out with laundering. Otherwise excellent condition.
Gentle machine wash, warm, hang dry. Or dry clean.
