1950's STRIPED SEMI SHEER FULL SKIRT DRESS
Delightful little 50s dress in a semi sheer cotton (batiste?) fabric that has muted horizontal stripes in varying shades of aqua and blue. Perfect outfit for those relaxing summer afternoons sipping Campari and sodas at a sidewalk cafe! Shirtwaist bodice is cut so the arm openings fall a bit over the shoulder, creating a cap sleeve effect. There is a rounded capelet like collar that ties in front. Full skirt is pleated at waist. Original belt is missing. Dress shown with petticoat for display purposes.
Measurements-bust 38", waist 26", hips open, shoulder to waist 15", waist to hem 28".
Excellent vintage condition. No noteable flaws.
