Rare WW2 era vintage playsuit/skirt set with military details. Military designs elements on clothing in the 1940s were a way for the wearer to show their patriotism and support of the war effort.
Cocoa brown cotton chambray.
Kimono style bodice.
Sleeves, pointed collar and patch pockets are edged in white trim and the patch pocket has stars and eagle appliqués.
Inset waistband has tiny gathers at waist seam.
Playsuit has white plastic buttons closures on front, waistband and up one side of shorts.
Full, wide leg pleated front shorts.
Matching button front skirt with white trim and large patch pockets in front.
Label inside reads “Sidran Sportswear”

Small repair in fabric behind the third button on skirt. Most of the stitching is hidden by the button and is not noticeable at all when skirt is closed. Button on waistband of skirt is a replacement and not an exact match to the others. Except for those two minor issues, both pieces are in excellent condition. Fabric is still strong.
Gentle wash, cold water, hang dry or dry clean.
