40's FLORAL SUNDRESS W/MATCHING BOLERO JACKET
Girly vintage sun dress from the late 1940s with matching bolero jacket.
Fabric is a finely ribbed white cotton faille in a whimsical print of diagonal baby blue looping stripes and red, chartreuse and yellow flowers. Bodice has a gathered bust area, spaghetti straps and a drop waistline.
Full skirt has three gathered tiers with piping at seams. Side metal zipper closure. Kimono style short fitted jacket has teal plastic button closures and mandarin collar. Both pieces are unlined.
Measurements-Dress Bust 38" (18" across back, 20" front) Natural waist 30" Shoulder strap to dropped waist 19" Waist to hem 28"
Very good to excellent condition. There is a tiny L shaped repair right by the back left shoulder strap. Not detracting at all. The straps look like they were shortened. So you'd have to have a very high bustline for the dress to fit properly. Top of strap to seam under bust is approximately 12". Straps could also be detached from the back and dress worn halter style.
