40's MOTHER OF PEARL COMPACT VANITY PURSE/CARRY-ALL
Exquisite little vintage brass carry-all compact vanity purse covered on both sides with squares of irridescent mother of pearl.
Two storage compartments inside are separated by shiny silver metal on a spring hinge that doubles as a mirror. One side was used to store cigarettes. The other has a powder compact that is still intact with a secret compartment behind it, a comb in its original pouch and a space to store lipstick.
Brass snake chain handle.
Measurements-
5 1/2" x 3" x 3/4"
Some faint pitting to the back side of metal mirror. A couple of small, very light tarnish marks on chain handle. Overall very good condition.
