50's LACE TRIMMED FULL SKIRT SHIRTWAIST DRESS
When I saw this dress I immediately thought of Betty Draper, glamorous trophy wife in the Mad Men tv series. This late 50s/early 60s classic shirtwaist dress is just the kind of thing I could picture her wearing to greet her ad exec husband at the door, a chilled martini in hand.
Ladylike sophistication in a cool, crisp cream colored cotton.
Bracelet length sleeves with turned up French style cuffs.
Very full skirt with pleated waistline.
Matching fabric covered button closures.
Original belt accompanies the dress.
White crochet lace trim on front of bodice, back yoke, sleeves and bottom of skirt add an extra touch of femininity.
Label reads "Hope Reed"
