50's ROSE AND HYDRANGEA PRINT BARKCLOTH
Two pieces of lovely 50s barkcloth. Heavyweight with an unusual texture.
Stunning floral bouquets of roses, hydrangea, daisies, leaves and what looks like branches of cherry blossoms.
Colors are various shades of blue, pale aqua, pink, dark olive and black against an ivory background.
One piece measures approx. 34" x 46". Appears to have been a curtain panel at one time and was cut on one side. So there is a seam about 1/2" on that one side.
The other piece measures 34" x 140" and is made up of three equal sections sewn together with a 4" hem.
Selvege edges read "Saison Happily Married Vat Prints"
Both are in excellent condition. There is slight fraying to very edge of fabric on smaller piece.
