50's Red Abercrombie and Fitch Blouse
Classic 50's red shirt/blouse in a soft, lightweight wool/cotton blend that Viyella is famous for. Up until the 1950's Abercrombie and Fitch was still offering fine quality clothing that catered to wealthy business people and celebrities. Before the days of malls and mass merchandising, several presidents and celebrities such as Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo and Katherine Hepburn shopped at their upscale store. You can definitely picture Katie Hepburn wearing a gorgeous red shirt such as this. Nicely tailored, exquisite fabric, light shoulder padding, button cuffs, breast pocket, double stitching across back yoke and shoulder seams. Seams front and back to give it a little shape.
