50's STRAPLESS GLITTER DOT RED TULLE PROM/PARTY DRESS
All eyes will be on you in this ravishing red stunner of a 50's era prom dress.
This fabulous formal dress oozes vintage girly glamour. From its sexy strapless sweetheart bodice, with rows of bust ruffles, to its layers of filmy metallic silver dotted tulle netting over red rustling taffeta and full gathered ballet length skirt.
Bodice has boning front and back for support.
Waistline is finished in matching piping.
There are two layers of tulle over the taffeta skirt. The top layer has a ruffled row of tulle surrounding the hip area.
An accompanying tulle wrap snaps into the right side of bodice. We've wrapped it around the shoulders and anchored it with a silk flower pin.
Side metal zipper closure.
Measurements-
Bust 34" (15 1/2" across top of back, 18 1/2" across front at the fullest part of bust)
Ribcage(just under bust) 30"
Hips open
Side bodice to waist 8"
Back bodice to waist 7"
Waist to hem 33"
We estimate this to be the equivalent of a modern size 4.
But to ensure proper fit, please be sure your own B/W and ribcage measurements are a bit smaller to allow breathing room!
Very good condition-
A few small tears in tulle on skirt were repaired with invisible thread. Some of the silver metallic dots on the back of bodice have lightened a bit from wear.
Neither of these condition issues detracts from the overall presentation of the dress.
