50's TYROLEAN NEEDLEPOINT BOX PURSE
This fun vintage purse is sure to attract attention.
The Tyrolean company is most noted for their collectible lucite purses. But they also made many other styles, favoring sculptural and geometric shapes.
This box purse has a metallic gold leather (or vinyl) covered top, bottom and handles.
The sides are covered in a pretty needlepoint floral design.
There are two separate compartments with snap front closures.
Each compartment is lined with gold moire and there are sewn in storage pockets on each side.
One side has a mirror that is tarnished.
Brasstone hardware and trim.
Label inside reads "Tyrolean, New York"
Measurements-
13" x 5" x 5"
Aside from the tarnished mirror, there are a few tiny chips and scratches on the metal trim. A couple of scuffs on the bottom. Nothing detracting. Overall very good condition.
