60's AQUA EMBROIDERED FULL SKIRT SHIRTWAIST DRESS
Here's another fabulous early 60's shirtwaister that I like to refer to as a "Betty Draper" dress. It's a classic ladylike silhouette, which is the signature style of the glamorous housewife in the Mad Men television series.
A lovely shade of aqua in poly/cotton voile is enhanced by the white eyelet embroidery on the bodice, sleeves and skirt.
Notched collar.
Bracelet length sleeves with button cuffs.
Back vent.
Bust and waist darts.
Pearly button front closures.
Full skirt is pleated at waist seam.
Hook and eye closure at waist.
Snap at skirt opening.
Shown with belt and petticoat for display purposes. Not included.
Measurements-
Bust 40" (should fit a bit loosely)
Waist 29"
Hips open
Shoulder to waist 16"
Waist to hem 26"
8" hem could easily be lowered.
Excellent condition. No flaws noted that affect appearance or wearability.
