60s TINA LESER GOWN
One of the great American designers, Tina Leser, travelled all over the globe in her youth. Her exposure to many different cultures directly influenced her designs. She is noted for clothing with an exotic ethnic flair, such as this 60's vintage dress/gown in a gold metallic paisley embroidered white crepe chiffon. There is also a second white chiffon like underlayer.
Wide, gathered neckline is edged in white piping. Sleeves are sheer and very full with snap closures on cuffs.
Dress falls in a full flared tent style from the shoulders, the crepe fabric draping beautifully.
The hem is finished in gold metallic braid trim. There are holes at the waistline on each side seam to lace a belt through. Original belt is missing. I have used a couple of different belts tied various ways,for display purposes.
Dress is a pull on style. Label reads "Tina Leser Original"

Because of the forgiving cut of this dress, it could accomodate a variety of sizes.
Upon very careful scrutiny you can see tiny pulls here and there in the gold metallic threads. Definitely does not detract. Mentioning to be thorough. Otherwise dress is in excellent vintage condition.
