70'S BLACK SILK KNIT HALTER DRESS W/MISSIONI LIKE STRIPES
This shapely 1970's vintage halter dress would be a great addition to your vacation or resortwear. The finely ribbed black knit would pack very nicely and it would look smashing whether thrown on over your swimsuit for late afternoon cocktails or later in the evening for dinner and dancing.
Burn test from an extra piece of yarn on the inside indicates the knit is silk. It has a luxurious weight and drape to it, causing it to cling to your curves in a most flattering fashion.
Halter neckline has a knitted drawstring tie.
Missoni like stripes cross the front and back of dress in an eyecatching zigzag pattern.
Flared, full length A line skirt.
Crocheted scalloped trim finishes the hem, side bodice and back of dress.
Unfortunately, all the labels were removed, but it's obvious that it's of high quality. It came from the estate of a very well to do woman, but the family members could not recall the origins of this particular dress. Though all the other garments we acquired along with this one came from upscale stores and high end designers.
