Gloria Swanson Jacquard & Satin 60s Cocktail Dress
Sophisticated and elegant 50s/60s vintage cocktail dress by silent film star turned designer, Gloria Swanson. Fabric is a rose print jacquard weave in a lovely shade of sage green, with a gold satin underskirt. Most likely rayon. Fitted bodice has elbow length sleeves, jewel neckline and underarm gussets. Skirt is comprised of three panels lined in gold satin. Underneath is a heavyweight gold satin pencil skirt with a back kick pleat. There is a back metal zipper closure. Original belt is missing. Label reads "Gloria Swanson for Forever Young".
Measurements-bust 38", waist 30", hips 40", shoulder to waist 16", waist to hem 26". To ensure proper fit, your own B/W/H measurements should be a bit smaller to allow room for movement as there is no give to this fabric!
Excellent vintage condition. No notable flaws.
