JANET RUSSO 50s STYLE EMBROIDERED SATIN SWING DRESS
Janet Russo starting designing lovely vintage inspired clothing back in the 1980s, when she operated a Nantucket and New York boutique. She retired to be a mom in the early 90s and resumed her career several years ago, opening a store in the Nolita area of NYC and one in Newport, R.I. to showcase her fabulous retro fashions.
This enchanting 80s party dress is reminiscent of the feminine "New Look" silhouette of the late 40's and early 50's.
Black lightweight knit kimono style bodice with slight gathering under bust.
Bateau neckline front and V back edged in black satin.
3/4 sleeves.
Wide, black satin pleated cummerbund style insert at front mid-section.
Huge, fared full circle swing skirt in a stunning black embroidered satin.
Back nylon zipper closure.
