MIGNON 40'S INSPIRED 70'S FLORAL CHIFFON DRESS/GOWN

Sophistication, elegance and femininity combine in this 40's inspired vintage dress by a maker of high end special occasion wear.
From the late 60's/early 70's, this lovely creation is done in a vanilla silk or rayon overlaid with matching crepe chiffon. Over that is a layer of floral print chiffon in red with blue, green and black accents against a creamy vanilla background. An elegant choice for informal weddings.
Tank style bodice with spaghetti straps, covered with a long sleeved sheer printed chiffon bodice with V neckline and gathers at shoulder seams and waist.
Long skirt has two sections of smocking right below waist seam and a curved V shaped slit in front.
Wide, draped chiffon sash is attached at waistline, ties in front and buttons in back.
Dress closes with a back metal zipper and fabric covered buttons.
Sleeves have fabric covered buttons and loop closures.
Label reads "Mignon, New York, Paris"

Near perfect condition. Looks like it was never worn. There was a tiny 1/2" slit by one of the seams in the lining that we repaired with matching fabric from the seam allowance. May have occured during the construction of the dress. Virtually undetectable when wearing. Mentioning for accuracy.
