This is my second of two posts featuring 1963 designer fashions from Paris. You can read the first one here. The world was at the height of the “space age”. Air travel was becoming more common and technology was advancing at a fast and furious pace. Of course, fashion designers followed suit by creating sleeker, more modern, futuristic looks, which were a reflection of the times.
The coats below are stunning examples of the slimmer, more streamlined silhouette that represents an iconic look of the 60s.
Hostess gowns for entertaining at home were another popular trend. Dior called them “terrace dresses”, which I absolutely love! The name AND the dresses, that is!
