I am loving this heart print vintage dress from the 1930’s. It even has sweet little heart shaped buttons. So utterly feminine, romantic and best of all—RED! Offered at Dorothea’s Closet

Red Hot 1950s Lilli Ann Jacket
Tuesday, September 18th, 2007
Sophisticated, tailored looks are big fashion trend for fall/winter 2007, as is the color red. In case you’re thinking tailored equals stuffy and boring, I suggest you take a look at this spectacular early 50s Lilli Ann jacket offered by Past Perfect Vintage . It would look perfectly smashing with this seasons fitted pencil skirts and wide legged trousers. And, as with most vintage pieces, you can be quite confident no one else is going to have anything quite like it!
According to the Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resouce, Adolph Shuman started a clothing company in 1933 and named it "Lilli Ann" after his wife. They became famous for their beautifully designed, figure flattering suits. After WWII Mr. Shuman travelled to France and bought up fabrics to use in the manufacture of his clothing. This particular jacket is made of red silk from Paris. Unique rhinestone buckle closures add a glamorous touch.
A brilliant way to add some punch to basic black separates.
