Here’s an update on some yummy retro party dresses and gowns we’ve just added to the Blue Velvet Vintage website.  Click on images for more information on each dress.

This one shoulder beauty reminds me of those chic chiffon cocktail dresses so popular back in the 50s and early 60s.  Prong set rhinestones decorate the waistband.

We’ve also just added another one shoulder dress in a sexy curve hugging  mermaid style.   Mermaid gowns are timeless classics that conjure up images of  glamorous Hollywood starlets of the 40s and 50s.  Chiffon over silky satin in a beautiful caribbean ocean blue color with beading detail and pouffy tulle netting to fill out the mermaid hem nicely.

I really love this adorable little 50s/60s inspired polka dot dress.  Very Betty Draper of Mad Men.  The medium to heavyweight cotton faille fabric gives the dress a nice tailored silhouette.

Here is a fantastic  scarlet red chiffon 40’s inspired evening gown that’s perfect for a dressy holiday event.   Sexy shoulder baring halter style with pleated bust, and princess seaming for a flattering fit and flared silhouette.  Pretty floral applique with beading and rhinestones add just the right touch of sparkle.  It is also available in burgundy, black and ivory.
