Well I’m still on the road foraging for fab vintage fashions and accessories for the website. My search has recently taken me to the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. (Got a hot tip from one of my sources that there was an estate with some vintage clothing to be had over here ) So, of course, I jumped on the Woods Hole ferry as fast as I could!
While waiting to meet the sellers, I decided to pay a visit to the Featherstone Flea and Fine Art Market in Oak Bluffs to poke around a bit. Held on Tuesdays through August, it takes place at the Featherstone Center for the Arts in Oak Bluffs. There you can find an eclectic selection of antique and vintage wares, clothing, artwork and jewelry in an idyllic country setting.
Picked up some really cute hats from Gail Becker of the Linen and Lace Studio. Beside her lovely collection of hats, she also has lots of beautiful vintage linens.
Nancy Morris sells all kinds of interesting antiques and collectibles in her booth. My favorite was the vintage dinnerware set with various ships bordering the rims. If only I didn’t have too many dishes already, these would have been going back to Fla with me! Oh, did I mention the whole set was a very reasonable $60.00?
Here are some random shots taken around the flea market to give you an idea of the type of stuff you see as far as antique and vintage.
Minor Knight makes the cutest summer shift dresses and skirts from authentic vintage barkcloth fabric, and sweet 50′s inspired sundresses in gingham with matching flower embellishments. Perfect outfits for an island vacation!
Saw this UDDERLY adorable cow there too. But I was told it wasn’t for sale!
As far as the estate sale. Well, you’ll just have to wait and see. Those goodies will show up on the website in the fall!
