Just got through photographing some new vintage style dresses and prom gowns we just got in.   They’ll be listed on the site within the next few days.  But I wanted to give you a sneak peek.

I’m particularly excited about this latest collection from Trashy Diva. These dresses are so freaking cute, I cannot wait to get over this nasty bug I have so I can wear one out dancing. You know I had to order some for myself! That’s one of the perks of having your own clothing business.  Or maybe it’s a curse, since my closet, which is quite large mind you, is completely overflowing.  Pretty soon I’ll need a GPS to find my way out of there!  And we won’t even get into the shoe storage  problem.

Anyway, I digress.  The truth is, I’m totally in love with these dresses because they capture mid-century style so perfectly. The prints and colors are very period correct.  The Americana reminds me of a dress right out of the Mad Men television series, or the Donna Reed show!  The circle day dress even has fabulous little black buttons with rhinestone centers.

We’ve been getting lots of requests for more prom dresses with that old Hollywood glamour look. You know,  the body hugging, slinky, satin dresses worn by actresses in the 30s and 40s, like Jean Harlow.  Here are a couple of new styles being added this week.  The claret red gown will be available up to a size3X.   The teal gown on the right also comes in a deep rose pink color. Both dresses are accented with sequins and beading.
