Krista and Bob Louttit (and their fabulous 1955 Ford pick-up!)

Are you a rockin’ rockabilly gal planning a 50s themed wedding? Well here is some Viva Las Vegas wedding inspiration from our happy customer, Krista Louttit,  who told us  planning her 1950s rockabilly wedding to her handsome hubby Bob was easy. “It was a no brainer for a vintage inspired wedding, as that is pretty much us on a daily basis.”    I so love that they embrace this look all the time!

The couple have a serious passion for hot rods, all things tiki, Johnny Cash, and clearly, each other.   They had already scheduled a trip to attend Viva Las Vegas – “the biggest rockabilly party in the the world” and decided that it would also be the perfect place to get hitched! Along with a handful of friends, the fun-loving couple tied the knot at Graceland Wedding Chapel, where celebs like Jon Bon Jovi and Billy Ray Cyrus have also held their weddings.

The groom rocked it out in a perfectly tailored sharkskin suit, while bridesmaids looked radiantly retro in classic 50s style dresses and matching (homemade by Krista herself!) rose rings and bouquets.  The royal blue outfits matched their extremely cool 1955 pickup truck!

The bride wore a stunning  ivory 1950s inspired  full circle dress with a flattering shelf bust  that she purchased from Blue Velvet Vintage, and accessorized it with a hair flower and a pair of great ankle strap peep toe platform heels. Her gorgeous retro hairdo and makeup completed the look nicely!  Krista said she first discovered her dress on pinterest – along with a few others – but kept finding herself going back to this one in particular.  She knew it was “the one”. 

After the ceremony the bridal party cruised down the strip to the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign for some great photos. The couple and their friends then headed to  dinner at Capo’s Italian Steakhouse  where the maid of honor and best maid surprised the newlyweds with the perfect Vegas themed wedding cake. And what better way to end a beautiful rockabilly wedding day but with cocktails at Frankie’s Tiki Bar. Sounds like these two had an amazing wedding day filled with friends, fun and a little bit of rock and roll!
