50'S KAHALA STRAPLESS FULL SKIRT HAWAIIAN DRESS

Fabulous collectible strapless Hawaiian sundress from the 1950's.
Medium weight cotton stylized underwater motif in shades of turquoise, midnight blue, white and golden ochre.
Strapless bodice has foldover flaps and is ruched at mid bust. Elasticized sides. Pull on style.
Full skirt has wide inverted pleating at waistline. Bodice is lined in white cotton
Label reads "The Kahala, Made in Honolulu"

Two buttons sewn inside front bodice indicate halter straps accompanied dress at one time. Fits fine without them, but straps could easily be added if desired. Very faint line where hem was lowered. Otherwise excellent condition. Fabric and elastic are strong. Colors vibrant.
