60's ANNE FOGARTY BLUE LUREX SHIRTDRESS
SKU: dr0290
Coty award winner, Anne Fogarty, was one of the first designers of the "American Look". Her clothing combined classic lines with a youthful, stylish look.
In the 50's she wrote the book "Wife Dressing:The Fine Art of Being a Well Dressed Wife". She is quoted as saying "If you adore her, you must adorn her. That is the secret to a happy marriage." Sounds good to me!
Here she adds a unique twist on a classic 60s fitted shirtwaist dress. Done in an unusual plisse textured ice blue lurex knit with silvery metallic threads, it adds just the right amount of shimmer to make this perfect casual cocktail party or dinner date attire.
Bodice has stand up collar and long sleeves. Straight skirt has side seam pockets.Slight gathering at waist. Dress is fully lined in baby blue silk and it closes with small round pearly buttons all the way down the front. Matching tie belt accompanies the dress.
Label reads "Anne Fogarty"
