Showstopping 1950s fit and flared party dress in an abstract rose print cotton overlaid by sequined green silk organza. A very unique combination that is sure to turn heads!

•Teal, pink, chartreuse and beige print on black background. Medium weight cotton.
•Sage green organza overlay is decorated with black, white and iridescent clear sequins.
•Fitted sleeveless bodice with wide V neckline. Straps will sit at edge of shoulders.
•Skirt is almost a full circle.
•Piped waist seam.
•Side metal zipper.
•Left side seam pocket.
•Horsehair braid around inside hem.
•Attached black tulle slip with green tulle ruffle hem.
•Shown with additional white petticoat for display. Not included.
•Labels reads "Frances Pepper, Jackson, Miss." and "David Hart, Inc"

Frances Pepper was an upscale department store back in the day.
David Hart, born David Hartog, started his dress business back in 1953 along with his designer partner, Frank Perullo. They specialized in stylish, quality party and formal wear. The company only operated until 1963. So this is a rare find!

GARMENT MEASUREMENTS
Bust 36 (16" across widest part of back, 20" across fullest part of bust in front) Need at least a B/C cup here.
Waist 27"
Shoulder to waist 15" Waist to hem 26"

FIT AND CARE
Your own measurements need to be a bit smaller to allow room for comfortable fit, especially because of side zipper. Bodice length indicates this will fit a shorter waisted/petite framed person. So check a smiliar style dress to compare.

CONDITION
Excellent. Detected one extremely tiny dark spot on organza, front of skirt, several inches from side seam. Not detracting at all. Mentioning for accuracy. Dress is an exquisite example of American designer mid century fashion. Pix do not do it justice!
