Cuban born designer, Luis Estevez, is best known for his chic, sophisticated, figure flattering cocktail and evening wear and his unique neckline treatments. This classy little black dress from the 60s is a lovely example of the understated sexiness of his designs. Comprised of black silk that has a fine horizontal rib and a subtle horizontal slubbing in the weave. Double rows of seaming front and back give the dress its curve hugging fit. Very short, almost cap like sleeves. And, of course, one of his fabulous cutout necklines that has an attached swag of pleated fabric that curves up and over the center neckline, creating a bow like effect. Slim pencil skirt narrows toward hem. With no back kick pleat, its a true wiggle dress! Back nylon zipper is installed at the right vertical seam so as not to interfere with the clean lines of the dress. Simply stunning! Label reads "Estevez"Fully lined in black silk.
