This chic 1950s winter coat is a very special coat indeed! Designed by Don Loper who created fashions for many Hollywood stars including Marlene Dietrich, Audrey Hepburn, Lana Turner and Maureen O'hara. This lovely coat has a classic silhouette reminiscent of the cocoon style that was popular at the turn of the century, and reinterpreted many times since! Ivory/cream color wool/angora/silk blend has a luxurious velvety feel. Wide winged collar, deep dolman/batwing sleeves, front slit pockets and double buttons for each buttonhole. Sumptuous ivory satin lining imprinted with the Don Loper signature. Coat is generous through the chest and waist area, with narrowing toward the hem. Label inside reads "Sheared Angora by Somersville." and "Don Loper, Beverly Hills".

MEASUREMENTS Hip 46" Length 41"
Because of the deep dolman sleeves it was difficult to measure the chest and waist. Coat should fit loosely and can accomodate a range of sizes. But the best recommendation is anyone with 36-42" bust and up to a 34" waist and 42" hip should fit into this coat. Because of the cut it is very forgiving.

CONDITION Excellent. Dry cleaned and ready to wear.
